Hatfield Comprehensive Plan

Overview

The Town of Hatfield successfully completed and adopted the town’s Comprehensive Plan, Hatfield 2040 – A Vision to Protect, Prepare, and Prosper, a long-range visioning document that will guide decision-making on land use, housing, economic development, natural resources, and more.

The plan was the result of a community-led process facilitated by PVPC, along with support from the Consensus Building Institute, Dpict, Regenerative Design Group, Woodard & Curran, and Cooler Communities, with active participation from residents, local officials, and stakeholders. Through surveys, public meetings, and collaborative discussions, the planning process captured the values and priorities of the Hatfield community. The final plan reflects a shared vision for Hatfield’s future—one that balances growth with preservation and supports a vibrant, resilient, and inclusive town.

This project was funded by the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs through their Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Grant Program.
