Helping communities prepare for and reduce the impacts of natural hazards is a core part of PVPC’s work. We assess risks such as flooding, severe storms, and extreme heat, and develop hazard mitigation plans that strengthen local resilience and safeguard public safety. In the calendar year 2025, PVPC is supporting nine (9) member communities with HMP updates: Amherst, Belchertown, Blandford, Cummington, Northampton, Southampton, Ware, Westhampton, and Williamsburg.
