PVPC staff have been on the project team in partnership with MAPC, Health Resources in Action, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to develop and implement the Root Cause Solutions Exchange, “a community-driven hub that offers digital resources and networking to help people who live and work in Massachusetts to create healthier, more equitable, and more resilient communities for everyone.” This resource includes a networking site and coaching by staff and consultants on how to navigate the site and to implement projects and initiatives that address the root causes of health inequities.
Overview
The Root Cause Solutions Exchange is a dynamic resource hub and network of people committed to improving the physical and social conditions that play the biggest role in our health.
The Exchange provides resources and tools – such as coaching, trainings, technical assistance, networking opportunities, and seed funds – to municipal governments, regional structures, community-based organizations, and resident groups. Areas of focus include Social Determinants of Health, root cause analysis, policy, systems and environmental change, racial equity and justice, community engagement, data and action, and multi-sector collaboration.
