Agawam Downtown Revitalization Public Engagement and Implementation Plan

Overview

The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission is partnering with Woodard & Curran and the Town of Agawam to support the Downtown Revitalization Public Engagement and Implementation Plan. Focused on the Ramah Circle–Walnut Street Extension area and the broader downtown district within the Town’s District Improvement Financing (DIF) boundary, this project seeks to transform underutilized parcels into a vibrant, mixed-use hub for housing, commerce, and community life.

PVPC is supporting targeted public engagement, stakeholder coordination, and data-informed planning efforts that build upon previous studies and plans, including the 2024 Housing Production Plan. Through workshops, surveys, and regional collaboration, the project will result in an actionable, phased implementation plan that reflects community priorities, enhances connectivity, supports climate resilience, and promotes long-term investment in Agawam’s downtown.

This project is supported in part by a Community One Stop Grant from the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities.
