Data & Information

Project Development & Data Analysis

PVPC assists municipalities and partner organizations by developing data-driven projects tailored to local and regional needs. Our team collects, organizes, and analyzes demographic, economic, environmental, and transportation data to support planning initiatives and policy decisions. We design project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring that each effort is grounded in accurate data and actionable insights. Whether creating baseline datasets, conducting spatial analysis, or identifying trends, PVPC provides the technical expertise needed to guide effective decision-making and long-term planning.

Developing & Maintaining Large Databases

PVPC builds and manages robust, regionally significant databases to support long-term planning and analysis. These include Geographic Information System (GIS) datasets for land use, zoning, environmental resources, transportation networks, and critical infrastructure, as well as demographic and economic data for community and economic development planning. We ensure these datasets are regularly updated, accurate, and compatible with state and federal standards. By maintaining these comprehensive data resources, PVPC provides municipalities and regional partners with reliable information to guide decision-making and project development.

Online Data Collection and Sharing Applications

PVPC develops and manages web-based tools that make regional data more accessible and actionable. These applications may include interactive mapping platforms, online surveys, and data dashboards that allow users to visualize trends, submit information, or track project progress in real time. By providing user-friendly online tools, PVPC helps municipalities, state and federal agencies, and the public access critical data for planning, grant writing, and policy development.

Surveys

PVPC provides comprehensive graphics and survey services to support municipal projects, planning studies, and community engagement. Our team produces high-quality visuals—such as report covers, posters, flyers, logos, and maps—that help convey complex information clearly and effectively. We also design and implement surveys using advanced data collection platforms to gather meaningful public input and inform decision-making. This includes conducting on-street parking surveys to evaluate parking supply, turnover, and usage patterns, providing detailed reports and recommendations to address parking challenges. In addition, origin and destination surveys are used to analyze where people travel from and to, as well as how they get there, offering valuable insights into regional travel behavior and transportation system performance.
